News

Alexandr Wang briefly became the world’s youngest self-made billionaire at 24 by supplying artificial intelligence companies with the one thing they all need: humans. Hundreds of thousands of them. Now his $7.3 billion startup Scale AI is primed to cash in on the biggest AI boom yet—unless someone else can do it better or cheaper.
Scale AI, a San Francisco-based startup that specializes in helping companies label and curate data for artificial intelligence applications, sells data curation tools to the likes of Toyota, PayPal, and the U.S. Air Force. The new financing brings the total amount of venture capital it has raised since its founding in 2016 to more than $600 million.
