PsiQuantum Expands Relationship with Skywater Technology for Production of Silicon Photonic Chips
One of their longstanding quantum clients has been D-Wave which has been using the SkyWater foundry for many years to manufacture the superconducting chips they use in their quantum annealing. Now PsiQuantum has chosen them to produce silicon photonics chips for their photonic based quantum computer.
PsiQuantum Opens UK R&D Quantum Computing Facility
PsiQuantum announced it opened its UK-based advanced R&D facility at STFC’s Daresbury Laboratory in the north west of England. This effort is backed by £9 million of funding from the UK government’s Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), and gives PsiQuantum access to one of Europe’s largest liquid-helium (approx. -270°C) cryogenic plants.
PsiQuantum Will Partner with DARPA to Accelerate Path to Build First Utility-Scale Quantum Computer
PsiQuantum announced that it has signed a contract with the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) to perform on the Utility-Scale Quantum Computing (US2QC) program, which underpins the US government’s commitment to identify companies with credible roadmaps to building a useful quantum computer in the near term.
