Neuralink, founded in July of 2016 by Elon Musk, Max Hodak, and Paul Merolla, is a developer of brain-machine interfaces, building devices designed to help people with paralysis. Neuralink is developing a device, composed of a chip that would be implanted in a person's skull, with electrodes fanning out into their brain, that would be embedded in a person's brain, record brain activity and potentially stimulate it.
