Voxel51’s news and media highlights

Voxel51 has raised $30 million in new funding to develop its visual AI platform, which is designed to reduce the failure rate of AI projects. The company says this is because models haven’t been refined to interpret the data properly. Voxel51 wants to solve this by helping developers create more accurate and robust production-ready AI that can be used within their applications. The new investment was led by Bessemer Venture Partners with participation from Tru Arrow Partners, Drive Capital, Top Harvest Capital, Shasta Ventures and ID Ventures.
Voxel51, a leader in data-centric AI software, today announced the integration of its FiftyOne computer vision platform with NVIDIA Omniverse, a platform of application programming interfaces (APIs), software development kits (SDKs) and services for 3D applications such as autonomous vehicle (AV) simulation. The integration will deliver powerful new capabilities that enable AV developers to create, curate, and visualize robust synthetic training data to maximize AI model performance.
Voxel51, a startup developing a platform to analyze unstructured data, such as images and videos, has raised $12.5 million in a Series A round led by Drive Capital, with participation from Top Harvest, Shasta Ventures, eLab Ventures and ID Ventures. Founder and CEO Jason Corso tells TechCrunch that the new capital will be put toward further developing the company’s platform and doubling the size of Voxel51’s team from 13 to 26 employees by year-end.
