Sympoz, the brainchild of five Internet veterans (eBay, Yahoo!, ServiceMagic), started with an idea, wrapped in an entrepreneurial dream: that people are ready for a learning experience that captures the best elements of a great classroom and the convenience, interactivity and flexibility of online education. Sympoz delivers high-quality and engaging courses for lifelong learning enthusiasts across a broad range of topics covering hobbies, life stages, career advancement, social issues and academic subjects. Sympoz was founded in May 2010 and launched its first course offerings in November 2010. Sympoz has sold more than 1,000 courses in its first two months of operation in 2010 and has more than 250,000 Facebook fans across its vertical categories.
