The upcoming Thanksgiving travel period in the U.S. this week is expected to set a record: The American Automobile Association (AAA) estimates nearly 80 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home over the holiday. That figure is up by about 1.7 million people compared to 2023, and nearly 2 million more than 2019.
