Forge + Schwab: Building what’s next

For more than a decade, Forge Global (“Forge”) has expanded access, liquidity and transparency in the private market, giving more people a way to invest in an asset class historically reserved for a select few.

I’m pleased to share that an exciting new chapter is now officially underway at Forge.

As of March of this year, Forge is a part of Charles Schwab (“Schwab”), bringing together one of the most trusted private market platforms with one of the most trusted names in investing. Together, we believe we can accelerate our mission to expand access to the private market and help even more investors participate in the growth of tomorrow’s leading companies.

The best of Forge, backed by Schwab

The private market has changed dramatically over the past decade and we believe its future is even more compelling. That’s why joining Charles Schwab is such an important milestone for Forge. Today, we are now better positioned to build the future of private market investing with the scale and resources of Charles Schwab, a leading provider of financial services managing $11.59 trillion in client assets and 38 million active investment accounts.

Schwab and Forge share a common belief: investors deserve better access, greater transparency and more opportunities to build long-term wealth. Bringing our firms together allows us to combine Forge’s expertise in the private market with Schwab’s scale, stability and decades-long commitment to serving investors and financial professionals.

What won’t change

Our commitment to our clients, including individual investors, advisors, wealth management institutions, and private companies, remains steadfast, now building on the strategy, leadership, and infrastructure we’ve established in the space while continuing to deliver the high level of service our clients have come to expect.

Thanks to our strategic alignment within the Schwab ecosystem, we will:

  • Continue to deliver access to the trusted services synonymous with the Forge brand, while benefiting from the strength, scale and resources of Schwab.
  • Roll out new products and services that provide a broader, more enhanced investing experience for clients.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed on key updates and milestones throughout the integration.

As we move through this integration, our priority is to keep clients informed and supported. We’ll continue sharing important updates about accounts, access and what clients can expect throughout the transition as they become available.

For answers to some of the most common questions related to our integration with Charles Schwab, including questions about accounts, access and what clients can expect during this transition, we invite you to review the FAQs page found here.

Here's to the next chapter.

An investment in private company securities is highly speculative, involving a high degree of risk, and investors should be prepared to withstand a total loss of your investment. Private company securities are also highly illiquid and there is no guarantee that a market will develop for such securities. Each investment also carries its own specific risks and investors should conduct their own, independent due diligence regarding the investment, including obtaining additional information about the company, opinions, financial projections and legal or investment advice. Accordingly, investing in private company securities is appropriate only for those investors who can tolerate a high degree of risk and do not require a liquid investment.
