Crossing the $1 billion valuation threshold remains one of the most closely watched milestones for private companies. But for investors, a new unicorn valuation can be particularly interesting when it coincides with shares availability in the secondary market.
Dozens of private companies listed on the Forge marketplace became unicorns last quarter. The four companies highlighted below currently have shares listed by shareholders with asking prices as of this publication, offering eligible investors another data point as they evaluate companies for potential exposure.
Here’s a closer look at the companies.
Corgi, modernizing commercial insurance
San Francisco-based Corgi is building a full-stack insurance platform designed to modernize commercial insurance infrastructure through technology and automation.
The company crossed the unicorn threshold in May 2026 when it announced a $160 million Series B at a $1.3 billion valuation. Just three weeks later, Corgi announced another $106 million financing led by TCV, bringing its valuation to $2.6 billion.
Corgi’s CEO Nico Laque indicated that the company achieved profitability earlier in the year, and the latest capital will be put toward additional coverage segments such as trucking, small businesses and sports.1 In May, it was reported that the private fintech company was opening a “24/7 work café” in San Francisco, a venue that offers coffee to founders and entrepreneurs while introducing them to Corgi’s insurance offerings.2 The latter represents a uniquely innovative approach in its acquisition strategy.
Founded in 2024, Corgi’s latest price per share is $64.99 as of its latest fundraise in July of 2026, putting its post-money valuation at $4 billion. The company’s notable investors include Y Combinator, Kindred Ventures, Repeat Ventures and Contrary.
Allen Control Systems
Austin, Texas-based Allen Control Systems is a defense technology company developing autonomous precision robotics and counter-drone systems.
In June, the company announced a $200 million Series B led by Smash Capital at a $2.2 billion post-money valuation, cementing its unicorn status.
Allen Control Systems is known for its flagship product, Bullfrog™, which combines artificial intelligence, computer vision and precision robotics into an autonomous counter-drone weapon station. Bullfrog is designed to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of modern-day defense systems.3
Most recently, Allen Control Systems announced that Bullfrog™ had been selected by the U.S. Marine Corps to serve in its Ground Based Air Defense program, to support tracking and defeating aerial threats in conflict zones.4 The selection adds a notable government use case for Allen Control Systems’ technology.
Founded in 2022, Allen Control Systems’ price per share is $44.07 as of its last fundraising round in June. The defense technology company’s investors include Craft Ventures, Forum Ventures, Inspired Capital and Rally Ventures.
Wispr Flow, an AI-powered voice dictation platform
San Francisco-based Wispr is the company behind Wispr Flow, an AI-powered voice dictation platform designed to turn natural speech into written text across workplace applications.
During the second quarter, reports indicated that the company was closing in on a $260 million new financing round at a valuation of $2 billion. The valuation represents a significant increase from the roughly $700 million post-money valuation associated with Wispr’s previous valuation.
In August, Wispr launched its latest product, a meeting notetaker.5 The new enterprise platform is designed to capture what is said in a meeting and synthesize it into concise notes, according to the company.6 Notetaking applications already make up a crowded competitive field. But Wispr’s strategy includes gathering data from the platform’s usage and using that information to develop products that better serve its clients.7
Founded in 2021, Wispr Flow’s price per share is $9.23 as of its latest fundraise. Notable investors of the tech firm include Menlo Ventures, Notable Capital, Flight Fund and TriplePoint Capital.
Rogo, an AI agent for finance firms
New York-based Rogo is developing generative and agentic AI technology specifically for financial institutions.
In April, Rogo raised a $160 million Series D led by Kleiner Perkins at a $2 billion valuation, more than doubling the company’s previous $750 million valuation. The financing included participation from investors including Sequoia Capital, Thrive Capital, Khosla Ventures and J.P. Morgan Growth Equity Partners.
Rogo’s technology is designed around the workflows of investment banks, private equity firms, asset managers and other financial institutions. Its AI platform can assist financial professionals with research and analysis as well as more complex, multi-step processes.
In March, the company announced its acquisition of Offset, an AI agent platform that helps create efficient workflows for the investment banking and corporate financing industry. The move may expand Rogo’s reach to Offset’s reported 25,000 clients.7
Founded in 2021, Rogo’s price per share is $55.90 as of its latest fundraising round.
Investor takeaway
Reaching a $1 billion valuation marks a significant milestone for private companies, earning them a place among the coveted ranks of unicorns. For Corgi, Wispr Flow, Allen Control Systems and Rogo, that milestone is now accompanied by potential access in the secondary market. With existing shareholders indicating an interest in selling shares, eligible investors may have an opportunity to acquire stakes in these newly minted unicorns and participate in the next chapter of their potential growth.
