Zapp was founded in 2020 by Joe Falter. The company has not publicly endorsed plans to participate in an IPO.

Zapp is a London-based delivery app with a focus on snacks and other small food items. In addition to a centralized distribution center, the company operates with a network of local "dark stores" throughout the cities where it operates. Zapp has raised more than $300 million in venture capital funding from investors including Lightspeed Venture Partners, 486 Capital, BroadLight Capital, Vorwerk Ventures, and Atomico. The company did not disclose valuation figures following a $200 million fundraising round in January 2022.
