Anduril was founded in 2017 by Palmer Luckey, the founder of Facebook-acquired Oculus VR. The company has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an IPO. Anduril builds surveillance and defense systems for military and other government applications. While financial and performance data of the company is not available, in October 2019 CNBC reported the Anduril had “already signed contracts with several branches of the U.S. government."
Anduril has raised approximately $385 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including 8VC, Lux Capital Management, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, General Catalyst, Revolution, and Spark Capital. It has been widely reported that Anduril last raised $200 million in July 2020 at a post-money valuation of nearly $2 billion.
