The product uses electromagnetic resistance rather than traditional weights, allowing for a compact design. Tonal has raised more than $450 in venture capital funding from investors including Dragoneer, Amazon, Cobalt Capital Partners, L Catterton, and Sapphire Ventures. The company announced a valuation of $1.6 billion following the 2021 funding round.
