Spark Capital

Spark Capital was founded in 2005 by Paul Conway, Santo Politi, and Todd Dagres. The firm has offices in New York City, Boston, and San Francisco. Spark Capital invests across all sectors and stages, though the firm has a record of making early investments in technology platforms that would later go on to achieve success, including Twitter, Tumblr, Oculus, and Slack. Many of these investments were made under the guidance of partner Bijan Sabet, who has developed a reputation as a successful venture capitalist and a proponent of expanding the East Coast technology industry.

As of March 2022, Spark Capital announced $2 billion in new funds. A number of the firm's portfolio companies have gone public through an IPO, including some of those mentioned above as well as Snap, Affirm, Coinbase, Wayfair, Marqeta, and Flywire.
