Digital Currency Group was founded in 2015 by Barry Silbert. In light of a recent $10 billion valuation, Silbert said that an IPO remains a possibility, but is “not in the plans and not being discussed right now.” These comments should not be interpreted to mean that the company is formally pursuing or foregoing an IPO.
