Roblox was founded in 2006 by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel. The company has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an IPO.

Roblox is a game creation system platform that allows users to create new games. While financial data for the company is not publicly available, in August they announced they had surpassed 100 million monthly active users.

Roblox has raised an estimated $235 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including Andreessen Horowitz, Greenspring Associates, Temasek Holdings, Tencent Holdings, Greylock Partners, Tiger Global Management, Index Ventures, Meritech Capital Partners, and Kleiner Perkins. Per company press releases, Roblox last raised $150 million in February 2020 at a post-money valuation of $4 billion.
