Plenty was founded in 2014 by Jack Oslan, Matt Bernard, Nate Mazonson, and Nate Storey. According to PR Newswire in February 2023, Realty Income Corporation provided $1 billion to Plenty to advance vertical development farming. Plenty has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an IPO.

Plenty is an agriculture technology company that operates indoor vertical farming locations that use less space and fewer resources to grow produce. Per Forge data, Plenty has raised a total of $941 million in funding over 7 rounds, with their latest funding being raised on Jan 25, 2022, from a Series E round. Key investors include JS Capital Management, One Madison Group, and SoftBank Vision Fund.
