Nylas (formerly known as Inbox) was founded in 2013 by Michael Grinich, Gleb Polyakov, and Christine Spang. The company has not publicly endorsed plans to participate in an IPO.

Nylas is a communications API developer that helps businesses integrate productivity tools into their technology stacks. In 2020, the company acquired June.ai, an AI-powered email tool. Nylas has raised more than $170 million in venture capital funding from investors including Tiger Global, Citi Ventures, Slack Fund, 8VC, and Owl Rock Capital. The company did not disclose valuation figures after a $120 million fundraising round in 2021.
