Lime was founded in 2017 by Toby Sun and Brad Bao. TechCrunch reported in September 2023 that Lime is eyeing a potential IPO. CEO Wayne Ting spoke to TechCrunch saying: “we have the economics, the growth, the profitability to take Lime public hopefully as soon as the market permits.”

Lime is a transportation company that provides an operated network of bikes and scooters. Per Forge data, Lime raised $1.5 billion in funding over 11 rounds.
