Didi Chuxing (“Didi”) was founded in 2015 as a result of a merger between former rideshare competitors Kuaidi Dache and Didi Dache. The company has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an IPO.

The firm operates a mobile rideshare platform in China, Australia, Brazil, Mexico, and Japan. According to Pitchbook, the company has raised over $22 billion in Venture Capital funding from investors including Toyota Motor, NewView Capital, 137 Ventures, Cherry Tree Investments, Syren Capital Advisors, 2020 Ventures, Lauder Partners, AME Cloud Ventures, Sequoia Capital, Third Point Ventures, ACME Captital, and Breyer Capital. Per Pitchbook, Didi’s last known valuation was from a $260 million funding round in April 2018 at a post-money valuation of over $57 billion.
