Credit Karma, the company that operates a platform to help consumers monitor their credit score founded in 2007, will be acquired by Intuit for just over $7 billion according to a press release from February 24, 2020.
As a private company, Credit Karma raised funds from Ventures Capital investors totaling approximately $315 million. These investors included Silver Lake Management, Archer Venture Capital, Ben Jen Holdings, eBrands.vc, CapitalG, Tiger Global Management, Ribbit Capital, Susquehanna Growth Equity, Felicis Ventures, Founders Fund, and QED Investors. Credit Karma’s last private funding was in 2015, when it raised $175 million in a Series D with a post-money valuation of $3.5 billion.
