Headquartered in San Jose, California, CloudBees was founded in 2010 by Francois Dechery and current Chief Strategy Officer Sacha Labourey. Stephen DeWitt leads the company as CEO as it empowers enterprises with an automated software delivery platform with risk mitigation, compliance, governance, and analytics tools built right in. As of March 2022, CloudBees has raised a total of $356.2 million in funding from investors such as Matrix Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, HSBC, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, Bridgepoint, Golub Capital, Verizon Ventures, and Delta-v Capital. The company raised $150 million in December 2021 for a pre-money valuation of $1 billion. As far as going public, DeWitt said during an interview "That depends a lot on the markets. Being a private company gives you a degree of flexibility.” These comments should not be interpreted to mean that the company is formally pursuing or foregoing an IPO.
