Natural Fiber Welding is a material science company developing technology to make sustainable textiles with plants and other natural fibers. The company aims to make its technology fully scalable and economically competitive. Haverhals and NFW CTO Aaron Amstutz were awarded the Intellectual Property Owners Education Foundation's Inventor of the Year award in 2022. Natural Fiber Welding has raised more than $175 million in venture capital funding from investors including Tidal Impact, Tattarang, Scrum Ventures, and Ralph Lauren. The company did not disclose valuation figures following an $85 million fundraising round in 2022.
