Hebbia News and Media Highlights

AI startup Hebbia raised $130M at a $700M valuation on $13 million of profitable revenue

Hebbia, a startup that uses generative AI to search large documents and respond to large questions, has raised a $130 million Series B at a roughly $700 million valuation led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Index Ventures, Google Ventures and Peter Thiel. And its funding demonstrates that 50x annual recurring revenue (ARR) is becoming the norm for AI startups, especially ones that have booked millions of profitable revenue early in their journey.

Hebbia reels in $130M for its AI search platform

Hebbia Inc., the developer of a data search platform for enterprises, today disclosed that it has closed a $130 million investment led by Andreessen Horowitz. Index Ventures, Alphabet Inc.’s GV venture fund and Peter Thiel participated as well. Bloomberg cited a source as saying that Hebbia is now worth about $700 million. The investment is not entirely unexpected: Reports that the company is raising first emerged in late June.

Hebbia nets $130M to build the go-to AI platform for knowledge retrieval

In the age of AI, enterprises want to drive critical internal functions with large language models (LLMs). They are investing millions, but bringing those use cases to life – with ROI – is far from easy. Today, New York-based Hebbia, a startup simplifying this approach with a focus on information retrieval, announced it had raised $130 million in series B funding from Andreessen Horowitz, Index Ventures, Peter Thiel and the venture capital arm of Google.

Hebbia raises nearly $100M Series B for AI-powered document search led by Andreessen Horowitz

Hebbia, a startup using generative AI to search large documents and return answers, has raised a nearly $100 million Series B led by Andreessen Horowitz, according to three people with knowledge of the matter. The round valued the company between $700 million and $800 million, although TechCrunch couldn’t verify whether that valuation is pre- or post-money. (One possible scenario is $700 million pre/$800 million post.) Hebbia disclosed in an SEC filing in May that it had by then raised $93 million out of a hoped-for $100 million, but we understand from two of the people that the round hit a near $100 million mark and has closed.
