Viagogo was founded in 2005 by Eric Baker. The company has not publicly endorsed plans to participate in an IPO. Subsidiary company, StubHub, however, has expressed plans to go public via direct listing.

Viagogo is a ticket resale platform. In 2020, the company acquired StubHub for $4 billion, another resale platform founded by Baker. Viagogo is owned by StubHub Holdings. The company has raised more than $60 million in venture capital funding from investors including Angel Capital Managment, Index Ventures, Valor Capital Group, Klingenstein, Fields & Co, and Andre Agassi. Viagogo has not disclosed valuation figures.
