Sojern was founded in 2007 by Mark Rabe and William Fisher. While the company has not endorsed plans to participate in an IPO, Sojern expanded its leadership team in 2023, specifically citing Vice President of People Preeya Patel's experience in helping scale Confluent through its IPO.

Sojern is a marketing platform for the travel industry. The company was named on Deloitte's Fast 500 List every year from 2013-2017. Sojern acquired Adphorus in 2017.
