In addition to its cryptocurrency, XRP, Ripple developed and operates a global blockchain-based real-time financial settlement services network, allowing individuals to exchange money regardless of location or particular bank. The company has raised nearly $300 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including 2020 Ventures, CME Ventures, Hinge Capital, Santander InnoVentures, Seagate Venture Fund, Growth Technology Ventures, MicroVentures, SharesPost, Abstract Ventures, Rosemoor Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, Lightspeed Venture Partners, and IDG Capital. Per company press releases, Ripple last raised $200 million in December 2019 at a post-money valuation of $10 billion.
