Muscat – GlassPoint Solar, the leading supplier of solar energy to the oil and gas industry, has signed a collaboration agreement with a host of partners to establish its corporate social responsibility initiative, the ‘GlassPoint Innovation Spur’. The program is set to contribute and sustainably drive innovation within Oman’s renewable energy and water management sectors.
The 6MW first phase that will be completed in March will power nearly half of the headquarters 12MW requirements. The capacity will be nearly doubled by November to fulfill all power needs of the offices at Mina Al Fahal concession area.
A newly announced project at California’s Belridge oil field will bring solar and fossil fuels together at one of the state’s biggest solar deployments.
