Age of Learning was founded in February 2007 by Doug Dohring. The company has not officially endorsed a plan to participate in an Initial Public Offering. Age of Learning is a developer of global education technology. Its flagship product, ABCmouse.com, is a comprehensive digital learning resource for children between the ages of two and eight.

The company has entered into a number of partnerships to expand its global presence, including collaborations with Tencent and Rakuten to teach English to children ages 3-8 in China and Japan, respectively. The company has raised an estimated $180 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including ICONIQ Capital, Angel Capital Management, and other individual investors. It has been widely reported that Age of Learning last raised $150 million in 2015 at a post-money valuation of over $1 billion.
