X (fka Twitter) IPO

Twitter was founded in 2006 by Biz Stone, Evan Williams, and Jack Dorsey. While the company initially went public via IPO in 2013, Twitter once again became private after being acquired and delisted by Elon Musk. Musk has not publicly endorsed plans to take the company public again.

Twitter is a social networking platform whose primary feature allows users to post messages of 280-characters or less. The platform has grown into one of the most significant social networking sites online. Twitter has raised more than $12 billion in venture capital funding from investors including Witkoff, Vy Capital, Sequoia Capital, DST Global, Kleiner Perkins, and T. Rowe Price. In October 2022, Elon Musk paid $44 billion to acquire the company.
