Productivity platform startup Cortex Applications Inc. announced today that it has raised $60 million in new funding to grow developer awareness around its internal developer platform and further its platform capabilities with enhanced workflows, engineering intelligence and artificial intelligence. Founded in 2019, Cortex offers an internal developer platform that is designed to help companies catalog, score and assign actions to improve service quality and velocity, with the goal of allowing developers to prioritize work that drives a business forward.

Cortex makes $90M debut to chase afib with pulsed field ablation

Cortex, a venture by medtech startup incubator Ajax Health, has launched with $90 million in funding with a focus on developing pulsed field ablation treatments for atrial fibrillation. The funding round was led by KKR and Hellman & Friedman, and includes investors such as AI Life Sciences. Cortex intends to offer an integrated system for diagnosing and treating arrhythmias.

Cortex receives $7M from the state of Missouri for tech training

Cortex, a technology and biological science hub based in St. Louis, has been awarded $7 million by the state of Missouri to train workers for the burgeoning tech industry in the metro area.
