Zoox, which develops autonomous vehicle systems with the goal of providing entirely autonomous transportation solutions, was acquired by Amazon in June 2020 for $1.2 billion.

Founded in 2014, Zoox raised nearly $800 million prior to the acquisition from Venture Capital investors including Alium Capital Management, Grok Ventures, IDG Capital, Blackbird Ventures, Breyer Capital, Mistletoe, Raptor Group, Lux Capital Management, and Threshold Ventures. It has been broadly reported that Zoox last raised $500 million in July 2018 at a post-money valuation of $3.2 billion.
