CelLink is a developer of electronic circuits that are flexible and highly conductable with applications for the solar, LED, automotive, and battery industries.
Back in October 2019, Ford also invested in a company called CelLink, a flexible electric circuit start-up that develops and produces lightweight and low-cost flexible electric circuit technology for electronics. Now, that same company has been awarded a $362 million dollar loan from the U.S. Energy Department (DOE), according to Reuters.
CelLink is expected to add 2,000 high-tech jobs at the building over the next 10 years, making the company the largest private sector employer in Georgetown, which is about 30 miles north of downtown Austin, Texas.
Cellink has collaborated with Spermosens, Malmö University and Saint Louis University (SLU) to develop an in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) device to help determine male infertility.
