Bowery Farming, based in New York City, was founded in 2015 by Brian Falther, David Golden, and Irving Fain, who is the company’s CEO. The company serves major e-commerce platforms and over 1,000 stores -- including Albertsons Companies, Amazon Fresh, Whole Foods Market, and specialty grocers -- with produce that's harvested year-round at peak freshness, delivered within days of harvest. In September, the company launched three new salad kits, expanding the company’s offerings.
The company’s investors include First Round Capital, GGV Capital, KKR, singer Justin Timberlake, and actress Natalie Portman. The company has raised $650 million in funding over nine rounds, the latest of which was on February 2022. Its last known valuation was $2.31 billion and has not publicly communicated an intention to IPO.
