Bird operates a platform where users can access a network of electric scooters and bikes from their smartphones. According to the company’s website, Bird currently operates in over 100 cities around the world. The company has raised over $775 million in Venture Capital funding from investors including Idinvest Partners, Target Global, Moving Capital, Tao Capital Partners, TripleVenture Growth Partners, CRV, e.ventures, Greycroft, Hinge Capital, Relay Ventures, Sound Ventures, Accel, Sequoia Capital, Troy Capital Partners, Upfront Ventures, Craft Ventures, Target Global, and Goldcrest Capital. It has been widely reported that Bird last raised $75 million in January 2020 at a post-money valuation of $2.8 billion.
